“Energy is the potential for change.”
Dr. Martin Picard
Our Vision
We envision a world where humanity embraces energetic intelligence as our birthright, fluently speaks the language of energy, and harnesses the body’s wisdom for profound transformation.
We know that by merging time-tested wisdom with modern science, we unlock the extraordinary healing power of our electric bodies and nervous systems to transform ourselves, our communities, and our planet.
We commit to empowering people’s energetic intelligence and creating partnerships that elevate wellbeing, deepen our connection to nature, and unleash humanity’s creative potential.
We are purpose-led rather than profit-driven. As a Low-Income Limited Liability Company (L3C) with a 501c3 fiscal sponsor, we accept tax-deductible donations through our non-profit sponsor, Northwoods Music Collaborative (NMC).

Vision, Curriculum & Impact
“Energetic intelligence is the deepest and most fundamental form of intelligence we have. It is the first language of the body. My hope is that we all learn to work with it and live into to our full human potential.”
Melissa is the co-founder of the Energetic Literacy Project and a scholar-practitioner of energetic intelligence, nervous system care, and collective healing. She spent her early career as a media producer, community media advocate, and academic (BA, Brown University; PhD, University of Southern California; postdoc, UC Irvine; tenure-track, Cal State Northridge) studying evidence-based practices for communication and social change—work that earned her a Fulbright scholarship, two top dissertation awards, and a book, Youth Power in Precarious Times published by Duke University Press (2020). After a personal health crisis, she left the halls of academia to shift her focus from media literacy to energetic literacy, bringing the same research rigor and insatiable curiosity to the study of the human energy system. She is an independent licensed Ishtara® embodiment teacher and a Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui and Karuna lineages. Her work now extends her social change background into the realm of energetic activism, exploring how tuning into our innate energetic intelligence can be a lever for individual, collective, and cultural transformation. Reach out to Melissa for anything related to curriculum, research, or how to tune into your innate energetic intelligence.
